Brief Answer:
Oral anti topical antifungals for 4-6 weeks followed by antifungal powder

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query and I have understood it

Fungal infections can be recurrent and it is a good practice to use antifungal powder regularly even after fungal infection has resolved, in order to prevent a relapse.
You may try an OTC antifungal cream e.g clotrimazole 1% cream, twice daily Or else you may visit a dermatologist in your region for a prescription topical antifungal e.g sertaconazole, luliconazole, amorolfine etc. The recommended usage is twice daily for 4-6 weeks.

An Oral antifungal e.g fluconazole is very effective and I usually suggest in my patients to take it once weekly for 4-6 weeks. Oral antifungals are prescription drugs and therefore you must visit a dermatologist in your region for the needful.
On the above mentioned treatment your symptoms would resolve or reduce greatly within 2 weeks but it is advisable to take the above treatment for 4-6 weeks.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from itching.
Besides if you have recurrent fungal infection, you must also get a blood sugar test.
General measures would include twice daily bathing in hot weather and loose cotton undergarments.

Brief Answer:
Topical antifungals may be obtained OTC but Oral antifungals are prescription drugs

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Topical antifungal creams that can be obtained without a doctor's prescription are Clotrimazole 1% cream and Miconazole Nitrate 2% cream. You may use it twice daily.
Oral antifungals are available only on prescription.

The cream which you have inquired about is a potent topical steroid and it should not be used in this area. Moreover, it is not an antifungal cream.
It can cause side effects like skin thinning, atrophy and stretch marks if you continue to use it.

An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from itching.

Antifungal dusting powder is mainly for preventing a recurrence and not for treating a fungal infection.
You may continue to use it once your fungal infection has resolved to prevent a recurrence.
