Question: Hello Dr.,
Its been a month and I have been having severe follicles in the arm pit region. Initially, there was high fever and the doctor prescribed amoxicillin 500 for 5 days, 2 times a day, as the symptoms didn't subside he added linospan 600 mg for 5 days, this lasted for 2 weeks and the swelling, redness subsided. After couple of days, symptoms re-occured, the doctor further suggested to undergo a test aerobic lab test to determine underline cause. Also he mentioned to observe this for "hidradnitis suppurativa". The lab test reveled bacteria "Pseudomonas aeruginosa" and prescribed ciplofloxine 500 for 5 days two times a day. This continued for a week and these symptoms subsided and again reoccured after couple of days.

Wanted to seek your opinion in understanding the right treatment to get the same permanently cured as this condition has effected my routine work and is causing lot of discomfort.

Brief Answer:
need some further investigation to establish the cause

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting with your health approach and after reviewing your case history I'm of the following opinion:

i. Since the symptoms are recurring any history of excess sweating in arm pits?
PS. probably the glands are destroyed and hiding the bacteria

ii. Do check with following laboratory investigation like:
. Complete Blood Count
. ESR ( erythrocyte sedimentation rate)
. C-reactive potein
. Serum iron level and serum protein electrophoresis

iii. Ultrasonography of hair follicles and

iv. Bacteriolological Analysis of the fluid ( pus/blood) from the site.

PS. please update/upload with reports of all the examination done ( starting from pseudomonas aueriginosa report)
