Question: I have had bad diarrhea for 4 months it is watery and has progressed to serious stomach cramps incontinence anal pressure all the time and nausea and a little vomiting. I have lost 26 lbs in 45 days and I still have these symptoms if I dont eat because my appetite is gone. I have been tested for labs and all have come back normal but I am getting sicker and weaker plus I have been on my cycle for almost a month. Any advice would help thanks.....desperate

Brief Answer:
Colonoscopy and stool test should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Have you had any surgeries including c-sections?

Your symptoms are either caused by partial bowels obstruction or chronic bacterial infection.
At your age, obstruction can be caused by inflammatory bowels disease (Crohns disease). Diarrhea can appear with mucus or blood. Cramps, nausea, bloating, lack of appetite are also quite characteristic.

Infectious diarrhea can give similar symptoms.

I suggest you to consult gastroenterologist. This can not be left alone. Stool test and colonoscopy are necessary to find out the reason.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I have had 9 surgeries from January to march but I was tested for cdif and it was negative they tested my stool for bacteria as well and found nothing. I am having a vaginal bleeding problem right now and when I push blood gushes out could the two problems be related?? what could the lower right abdominal pain be attributed to? I have no blood in my stool but there is mucus does it still sound like crohns and what could happen if it goes untreated. thank u so much

Brief Answer:
Gynecologist should be visited as well.

Detailed Answer:
Can you please tell what kind of surgeries have you had?
This bleeding from vagina should be checked by gyneclogist. The pain can be related to this problem. Such symptom can appear in case of uterine/ovaries inflammation, pregnancy or even uterine cancer.
If the surgery you have had were in the abdominal cavity, the risk of adhesions is very high and this can be the main cause of partial bowels obstruction.
Lac of blood in stool does not rule Crohns out. But adhesions seems more possible.

Please consult gynecologist as well as gastrologist. Colonoscopy is still necessary as well as enteroclysis (special CT which can show small intestine narrowing).

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Please visit ER if the pain is strong right now.

Detailed Answer:
Kidney stones removal is not an abdominal surgery.
For bowels obstruction it is characteristic that less you eat, lessen symptoms you have.
If the pain is strong at the moment, you really should visit ER. And please follow as instructed in the first answer. Without this tests, not much can be done.
