Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Acne On Face

Question: since last one here i am having continuous acne on my face.it all started on last year holi. possibly because of allergy. my face is oily. please provide me the specific creams and medicines to cure it.

Acne at this age group are most probably due to PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome).
Colours of Holi can cause irritant contact dermatitis or allergic contact dermatitis.

What about your menstrual cycle, is it normal and regular?
Is there any excess hair growth on your face?
Is there any excess weight gain?

menstrual cycles are also normal bt less .

facial hairs were already there..didnt increased.
neither a excess weight gain.

Facial hair(hirsuitism) are in favour of PCOD. Need Ultrasonography of ovaries to rule out this.

Acne Vulgaris due to PCOS

Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome again,

It is acne vulgaris and nothing to do with holi colours.
I usually prescribe to my patients
Azelaic acid 10% gel daily at night and benzoyl peroxide gel 2.5% at day time.

Drospirenone is required for the control of excess androgen hormone but it requires hormonal check and USG before starting this tablet.
Wash your face with salicylic acid 2% face wash twice daily. This is a OTC product and comes with Speelac face wash or Ahaglow S face wash brand name.

correct me if i am wrong..i mean to say that i should wash face with the said face wash in morning and evening and apply those gel after washing face..
