Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Abdominal Pain

default
Posted on Thu, 16 Jun 2016
Question: Hello Doctor, For over a year, I've been reporting recurring mild pain or soreness in my abdomen in the right lowered quadrant. At my doctor's direction I have taken an ultra-sound, CT scan and MRI image of the region--but no definitive problem has been discovered. Therefore, my doctor and I have been speculating that the pain may simply be due to a possible muscle pull or other skeletal truma (which I don't recall). However, within the past 2 days the pain/soreness/tenderness as increased slightly and I have been experiencing a mild headache and light-headedness. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
It is probably nothing to be worried about. Get a Colonoscopy

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
In all probability it would be nothing as your Doctor has mentioned.
Just a few queries however.
1. Do you have any illnesses like Diabetes or Hypertension for which you are on medicines?
2. Have you experienced any weight loss in the past few years?
3. How is your appetite?
4. How are your stools? Do you have constipation or diarrhoea? Is the color of stools normal or is it darker than normal? Any episodes of blackish stools?
Amswers to these questions would help us reach somewhere.
You might need a Colonoscopy wherein they would be able to see the insides of your intestine and if that is normal then need not worry at all.
Take care and do let me know the above answers.
