Brief Answer:
Infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

It looks like you have got
1. Bacterial infection of the liver
2. The bacterial infection of liver has spread upwards to involve the lining of the lung as well.

The treatment is with prolonged antibiotics. We give upto 3 weeks of IV antibiotics and depending on the size of the liver abscess it might require draining of the pus using a small pipe. Most patients recover without recurrence.

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Regards
