Suggest Treatment For Postmenopausal Bleeding After Hysteroscopy

default
Posted on Fri, 23 Jan 2015
Question: I was experiencing post-menopausal bleeding. I had an operational hysteroscopy. Do found several polyps and a fibroid however, the doctor was unable to removal all of it due to calcification. I was giving meds to help stop the post-operative bleeding. Should I wait and see or return for a 2nd surgery.

Brief Answer:
rest and tablet prescribed

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
In my opinion you should wait for a day at least and keep taking the drugs as advised and bleeding will stop.
But in case it gets heavier or there is excessive pain then visit your surgeon as soon as possible.
Also take ample rest and avoid getting up as much as possible.
Use cotton based undergarments and change pads frequently.
In case bleeding is very heavy then take tablet tranexemic acid with ethamsylate combination thrice a day and see for the flow.
I hope above measures will be helpful but in case you have any questions I will be happy to help.
Regards
Dr Manisha
