Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have taken note of your query and I will try to help you regarding your concern.

Your history is suggestive of recurrent bumps/ blotches on forehead, which turn into scaly patches and also gets oozy Or forms pus.
I will like to keep a possibility of either Acne Vulgaris Or Seborrheic dermatitis..

-Are they painful?Or are they itchy?
-Do you have them elsewhere like cheeks Or scalp?
-Do you also have scalp itching or dandruff?

Can you upload a digital Image for my review so that I am able to guide you better.

You may upload an image either at "Reports Section"

Or else

You may also mail me the image at YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
Pityrosporum folliculitis; Topical and Oral antifungals

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Thank you for the Image but it gets blurred when I zoom it.

This looks like 'Pityrosporum folliculitis'/ fungal folliculitis to me.
It is itchy and pimple like & has some post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from previous healed spots.
It is caused by a yeast, Malassezia furfur when it involves the pilosebaceous follicles.

I would suggest a course of an Oral antifungal e.g Itraconazole 100 mg. The dose is twice a day, after meals, for 2 weeks.

Topically you may use a topical antifungal e.g 2% ketoconazole cream, twice daily for a week.

These are prescription medications and therefore I suggest that you talk to your doctor for the needful.

I would really appreciate if you can upload another close up photograph with good clarity. Just want to to be double sure.

Regards
