Suggest Treatment For Persistent Headaches

default
Posted on Mon, 15 Feb 2016
Question: For two days I have had persistant headaches, which I come to believe are migranes, but a new symptom has appeared this morning which is a constant pain in my right side. My equilibrium is way off, feeling faint and weak. I've taken migrane meds which has taken away the worst of the headache. Don't know what's going on. As I sit here now, my vision is blurry and it feels as though someone has kicked me in my side

Brief Answer:
Neurological examination and MRI are needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

Since you suffer from migraine headaches, you should know that migraine eases and improves with aging.

In cases where new symptoms appear, or a new kind of headache is felt, it is necessary to get neurological evaluation and and imaging studies of brain ( MRI ) in order to evaluate/exclude other conditions that may cause the symptoms.

These conditions include brain vascular malformations, aneurysms, mass lesions etc.

So, I suggest you to consult a Neurologist and to discuss about having done imaging studies of brain too.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
