Brief Answer:
can take up to a week for recovery

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It can take up to a week for symptoms to resolve completely. If the intestines were still inflamed and food used, it would aggravate/irritate the lining and cause symptoms to recur.

Since the diarrhea has restarted, you may need to hold off solid food again until a 4 hour window has passed with no symptoms.
In the mean time use liquids such as diluted gatorade (has to be diluted because original would contain too much sugar and would worsen diarrhea)

Gatorade would help to replace electrolytes and fluid that you may have lost.

In addition to this, use probiotics. Probiotics would help to repair the intestine and hasten recovery.
Can be used on their own or in some yogurts.

When you restart food after 4 windows with no symptoms- start with small amounts of dry food

Summary: (1) hold off solid food
(2)dilute gatorade
(3)probiotics

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX My stomach is gurgling and I also have some gas. I am going to purchase the gatorade and the probiotics and start them immediately.
Is the gurgling noise ok?
