Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough

Question: Hi, I am a 30 year old male residing in New XXXXXXX XXXXXXX I have complaints of cough which has persisted for about 15 days accompanied by medium to thick phlegm. I also have pain swallowing. Took cetrizine medicine but it hasn't helped.
Pls advise on the cure

You are having chronic cough. You are also having expectoration. This suggest lung infection.
So better to first get done chest x ray to rule out lung infection.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for lung infection.
You need broad spectrum antibiotic like levofloxacin or azithromycin.
Also take anti inflammatory drugs.. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid hard to chew food..
