Posted on Mon, 6 Mar 2017
Question: I have had some problems with my feet. I have peripheral neuropathy, toenail fungus and recently a lot of veins are appearing on my instep. There are also some red spots on both feet and they are turning a kind of lavender color on both in steps...the right a little darker than the right. Please help. Do I need a podiatrist or a dermatologist? I'm beginning to feel like a hypochondriac.

Brief Answer:
You should consult a Dermatologist for a detailed clinical examination at first

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I've gone through your query and i can understand your concern,

You should consult a dermatologist (clinically) for your problem (because management depends entirely based on these findings).

The spots may be related to blood vessels as they are accompanied by engorged veins. I'd prefer getting a color doppler examination, particularly of the VENOUS SYSTEM of both lower limbs .

But, don't worry, it's nothing serious.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed further.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask, I will clarify further.

Wish you good health.
Regards
