i read your question and i understand your concern. Varicose veins now painful to touch needs surgical correction, Use pressure stockings, consult a vascular surgeon and let them sort it out for you. It may be a sign of phlebitis ( infection of veins) common in varicose patients. Take tylenol for pain. Minimal invasive approach for varicose veins ligation should be preferred.
