Question: I jammed my middle finger this morning. It is bent over and will not straighten out. Pain is minimal, but there is some swelling. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
see doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You need to see a doctor. It sounds like one of the ligaments or tendons in your finger has slipped out of place. It could also be a fracture if you hit it hard enough when you jammed it. Please see a doctor today for an exam and you will probably need an xray.
If you do not have a regular doctor that you can see today then go either to an urgent care or to emergency
Best regards,
Dr Robinson
