I am a little better. However, I am still in pain, but not as severe as before. I believe that I have i ternal shingles. I completed a ten day round of Valtrex and I feel a little better. Any suggestions?

There was no way that it could be detected without a clinical examination. Anyway, you need to remember that this virus stays dormant in the nerve endings for a lifetime and chances are that if ever your immunity drops in the future you can get a flare up in the future. As of now there are no specific suggestions. It should soon be fine.
