Question: I have painful red swelling in my elbow that has increased in size over the past 5 days.

It look like Cellulitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pic.
It looks like Cellulitis, infection of the skin and subcutaneous tissue .Initially, it has to be treated with Antibiotic and anti inflammatory tablet.
You should keep the affected limb elevated.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Linezolid tablet along with Anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
If the treatment is delayed, it may convert into an Abscess. If Abscess is formed, incision should be given over the swelling and the pus has to be drained.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Nothing to worry. It will come down.
