Suggest Treatment For Painful Prostatitis
Question: I would like a second opinion.
I am a 64 year old male. I have not been able to get an erection for two months, even to masturbate. I do not have diabetes and have very little sexual desire. I have not been able to ejaculate without erection even by extra stroking. I do not even get a partial erection, nothing, just completely flaccid. I can give up sex, but I am worried if I can't ejaculate EVER AGAIN, if my testicles of sperm and my prostate with fluid will get clogged up and cause me terrible pain. Or can you really live at my age (64) being totally abstinent? Will the body reabsorb the sperm and prostate fluid if you can't ejaculate?
Does the body reabsorb the sperm in the testicles? Where does the prostate fluid go? Does the prostate become clogged and congested and lead to painful prostatitis? Can a man my age (64) live on without EVER having another ejaculation?
If I can't ejaculate at all and am willing to live this way will I be OK? What would a urologist do?

As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
In a way,you're fortunate to have been able to have sex or masturbations till now.
Many face this situation much earlier.
These are age related changes,however you may notice early morning erections.
You can try Sildenafil tablets if you want to have sex,if no cardiac treatment is on.
Several men decide to be abstinent,from a young age.
There're none of the changes that you've in mind.
It doesn't lead to prostatitis.
The prostate gland has a minimal contribution to semen formation.
The major portion of semen is formed in the seminal vesicles.
They're gland like organs, close to the prostate gland.
So you just relax and there need not be any worry in remaining abstinent.
