Suggest Treatment For Painful Neck Spasms

Question: My wife has a very painful neck spasm that came on after a nap on the couch last night. Now she's having difficulty swallowing and is wondering if that's something special to worry about.It's been an hour and I've gotten no reply, but I was having email problems. If an answer was emailed to me, please try sending it again.

I have gone very carefully through your query. There are two possibilities to consider.
* Your wife could have a sore muscle. If that is the case, hot compress could provide relief.
* She could have caught cold and her neck glands could have swollen, leading to the difficulty in swallowing. If that is the case, gurgling with lukewarm water should provide relief.
