Question: I have pain during intercourse the last 2 months. What can i do?
The pain feels like i have a small tear or wound on the one side of my vaginal wall and doesnt seem to go away. MY obgyn examined me 2 months ago and told me i have a small red area in the place i was feeling the pain. He gave me vaginal ovules with hyaluronic acid (for 10 days) and a Betaisodona vaginal antiseptic. However, i was better for a few days but the pain ow is back. What can i do? My last pap test was ASCUS I don't know if this has to do with the pain i feel, the pain is not near the cervix though.

Brief Answer:
vaginal abrasions...due to frictional injury during intercourse

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
ASCUS is specific to cervix and indicate cervical erosions and ectopy lesions of cervix which are common in cases of HPV infection and hence pap smear should be combined with HPV DNA co testing.
hoWEVER THE VAGINAL ABRASION WHICH IS CAUSED MOST likely during forceful intercourse can present as a reddish lesion inside the vaginal wall which can be painful and burning as well. This can however be treated naturally if sex is avoided till healing is complete or you may again reuse cicatridina vaginal ovules for next one week as Cicatridina vaginal ovules is a useful adjuvant in reparative processes in atrophic and dystrophic conditions of the vaginal mucosa. It contains hyaluronic acid, a fundamental component of extracellular tissue, which contributes to an optimal performance of the biological repair process by facilitating the cell migration. Aloe, Centella and Calendula extracts carry out an emollient and soothing action.
The prime factor is intercourse which has to be avoided for early healing.
Also its important that you use adequate lubrication next time before having sex to avoid such vaginal abrasions.
