Suggest Treatment For Painful Acne On Face
Question: Hi my name is XXXX. I get painful acne every month. Th acne initially appear like deep pits and the area surrounding the acne is a little inflamed.gradually pus starts filling in the pit. This acne is very painful and leaves behind scars. I have tried home remedies but none of them work. I use SLC facewash and acnesol solution. Please help. The scars take several months to disappear and my face looks really awful with a lot of red marks.

I can understand your concern.
You seem to have recalcitrant acne.
This needs an intensive antibiotic therapy.
I generally recommend oral tablets of doxycycline for 7-10 days. Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.
Additionally topical Clindamycin will help if applied twice daily.
I recently mailed one my friends few tips to overcome acne and cosmetic methods to tide over the scars. If you feel they might help you, provide me your email address, I shall forward it to you.
