Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for contacting healthcaremagic

Ac section involves suturing of the uterus and the rectus muscle with a self dissolvable suture material. The material used to close the rectus takes 90 days to dissolve completely so that strength is regained by the rectus naturally and there is no chance of burst abdomen . It may sometimes so happen that the suturing may be done strongly and tighly such that it leaves a strain on the rectus muscle and may cause a constant pain over the suture line just above the skin scar. But this should subside on its own over 4-6 weeks and various pain killers may be used for supporting it at the same time like TAB VOVERAN( DICLOFENAC SODIUM) OR TAB combiflam which cane be taken as an when required depending on the pain.

If there has been no redness over the scar and no evidence of fever, then there is no infection involved and this pain shall subside in due course of time when the rectus heals by fibrosis.

I hope i have answered your query in detail,
wishing her speedy recovery,
regards,
Dr.Sameer Kumar
