Question: I want to know what to do about a toothache. Have been to the dentist in the last to weeks. Am scheduled to get an upper partial. One of my teeth is hurting A LOT. I called to get an antibiotic. She said I would have to see her. Can't get in until Thursday.

Brief Answer:
Continue with painkillers..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain if you have pain in your tooth that can be most probably due to decay in tooth or fractured tooth..

The first thing that has to be done is to get an x ray done to rule out the exact condition of the tooth..
Once the cause is ruled out and the condition of tooth is evaluated then treatment like Root Canal Treatment( if tooth can be saved) or extraction ( in case of gross decay) can be done..

As of now you can continue taking Tramadol and you can also apply clove oil over the tooth to reduce pain..
Do cool compresses over the cheek..

But all these will provide temporary relief..
For permanent resolution treatment of the tooth is a must..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
