Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Testicle And Abdomen

Question: Hello

I am 32 year old male. On 4th November morning, when I was sleeping in the bed, I accidentally hurt my left testicle as I was turning to other side and my left testicle came in between my thighs. The whole day I felt pain in testicle, scrotum, lower back and lower belly. I had difficulty walking as well. Now the pain has lessened but it hasn't completely gone. I have noticed when I sit on my computer chair for, I feel a dull ache in my left testicle and in my lower and upper back. It's not pain per se, but discomfort. I also feel a bit nauseous. I can walk fine and do all other things. My left testicle is still a bit sore, but not like before. When I am touching the sore areas, I feel ache in my lower back and thighs. I haven't gone to the doctor yet because I want to give myself some time to see if it heals on its own. Meanwhile I am also worried as to whether this could be anything serious. So please let me know how long the ache can last and whether it's normal to have it while sitting.

I am attaching image here, so you can have a look at my testicles and check if the left one is swollen. I think it's a bit swollen but I may be wrong.

Brief Answer:
You seem to have infection of Epididymis or Testicle

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted the pain in testicle and abdomen that you have is due to infection of Epididymis or and or Testicle (Epidodymo -Ochitis)

You need to consult qualified General surgeon for clinical Examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis
1) Urine routine and urine culture
2) Ultrasound Scanning of scrotum.

In the mean while start taking antibiotic like Doxixycline and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily

Ensure to drink more water .

Further treatment will depend upon the result of the tests..Please feel free to write if you have more questions .I shall be happy to help you .

Hello

I am sure it's not an infection. The pain occurred after my testicle got hurt. Before that it was fine. And how can you advise me to take antibiotics when there was no bacteria. As I said the left testicle was pressed between legs.

I don't have the pain but the soreness is still there, less in my testicle and more in my left groin and left underbelly. How long the pain can last?

Does a routine urine test reveal Epididymis?

Brief Answer:
ultrasound scanning will confrim the diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

Ultrasound Scanning of the scrotum wil help to establish the cause for discomfort .
Continue taking Diclofenac twice daily .

Epididymis takes long time to get cured and ideally one has to take antibiotic with anti inflammatory medication of 2 weeks .

Thanks and Regards.
