Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Sacroiliac Joint

Question: Hi,
I have been having pain to the left posterior, lateral area of my leg, from my distal thigh to proximal calf. After sitting, that area is very painful and sometimes that leg feels like it is going to give out on me. It's been very difficult to sleep due to the pain in that leg area. Sometimes I can feel a small lump to the distal thigh area, possibly a lipoma, as well as an occasional twinge in my left SI joint area. I'm sleeping on a mattress that is new to me and I was wondering if something to my lower back could be affecting that leg

Brief Answer:
time to get investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query and understand your concern,

For Pain in SI joint I advise you to get X Ray of SI joint and please send me the report here. I want to confirm it by seeing the joint condition.

If you mean to say that there is swelling and its XXXXXXX then it's lipoma, otherwise its something else like a popliteal cyst which can be diagnosed only on MRI of knee joint.

If it's lipoma it needs surgical removal, if cyst then it needs aspiration or at most surgery.

So I'd advice you to upload the picture of swelling if you can.

I also advise you to visit orthopedic surgeon as you need physical examination, you can discuss all that with him.

Till then have Tab. Aceclofenac100mg + Thiocolchicoside4mg twice a day by prescription of your treating doctor.

I hope you got your answer. Feel free to ask further.

Thanks,

Dr.CHANDER XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
