Suggest Treatment For Pain In Knees

Question: I am. having pain in knee due to fast running suddenly bare foot. I am not able to walk properly n difficulties in sitting and getting up. Below knees (both) little swelling and pain. As per x ray some muscle sprain it seems. Plz suggest what to do?

Thanks for your query.

The symptoms you have described are more likely to be symptoms of muscles strain.
To get relief from the pain and for quick healing:
1. Do hot fomentation at the site. Keep the foot elevated on two pillows while resting.
2. Apply local anti-inflammatory gel 2-3 times a day.
3. Take anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen to reduce pain and local swelling or inflammation.
4. Do not try to do exercise that involve painful muscles. Give proper time to heal.
