Question: getting pain in chest and back. The pain is tenderness to touch at shoulder joints. The pain is more during change of positions especially at chest and shoulder joints. sometimes it feels like cramp.
Is it the pain related to heart? Consulted several docs and took ECG and BP and is normal. I have severe gastrities too!!!

Hi XXXX

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

How was your day?
Hope this message finds you in good health.

I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.

I generally see many cases like this at my clinic.I give them rest,analgesics,anti-inflammatory tablets and ice pack till the symptoms reduce to some extent. Then i get an xray and if necessary an mri done to find out the exact reason.

In your case, there are 3 possibilities-

POSSIBILITY 1. SOFT TISSUE INFLAMMATION- there may be no bony involvement, only the soft tissues around the region might be inflammed that may be causing the pain

POSSIBILITY 2. NEUROPATHY- there may be a partial or complete inflammation of the nerves in that region that may be the root cause of such kind of pain.

POSSIBILITY 3. DISC PROLAPSE-there may be a compressed a nerve in the spine somewhere that might be causing radiating pain in those regions.Possibility of a disc prolapse should be kept in mind.

I suggest you get an Xray as well as an MRI done to find out the exact cause.

Physiotherapy,analgesics,anti-inflammatory drugs should help till then.

Do get back to me after ur reports are ready.

But i assure one thing, even if it is either of the above 3 possibilities, all have a good prognosis and you should eventually get back to normal in coming few days.Nothing to worry about.

i dont feel that these complaints are related to heart, as your ecg and bp is normal

Thank you for the reply!!!

Ill surely check the X-ray and MRI and will revert. However, considering the pain is because of tissue / nerve is it possible that the pain will increase due to gastritis.

Since, im having severe gastric normally the pain is increasing whenever i feel bloating and during early mornings.

this pain started few months back and it reduced now from past 2 weeks pain is increased as gastric problem increased.

Its just my concern because whenever i meet some general phycians they advise to take antacids because it might be due to gastric.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

Welcome back

there can be pain in these areas due to gastritis too.
but u had mentioned that it increases during change of positions, and feels like cramps. thats why, gastritis, as a cause, seems less likely.

still, you can take antacids for 5 days daily, and see if the pain stops completely.

or getting a gastro-endscopy done would be an option.

I hope your question has been answered.
