Suggest Treatment For Pain In Abdomen
Question: My daughter had pain lower right abdomen one month ago, we thought it was apendicitis ( it wasnt) , at that time did ultrasound, report said both ovaries fine, but free fluid cul de sac left side .
One month later pain but this time in the left side of lower abdomen. did ultrasound, radiologist not sure between teratoma or cyst hemorrage. right ovary fine, but left ovarieincreased in size ( 4.93 x 4.17 x 5.29 cm , volumen of 56.8 cmc, there is a mass heterogenous with liquid in its interior that constitute 70% of the lesión, without vascularization, this mass size 4.07x3.61x3.55 cm and volumen of 27.5cmc, there exsits para-ovaric liquid. no adenopaties. no calcifications, negative doppler

But in any case she needs to get it surgically removed and the tissue will be sent for histological analysis.
So don't keep negative thoughts and opt for laparoscopic removal.

With the removal laparascopically, is there a chance of damaging her ovarie, and hurt the chances of future pregnancy?

Yes the affected ovary can get damaged and thus decreasing chances of pregnancy a little in future.
But it is tried by every surgeon to try to save as much ovarian tissue as much as possible.
Still it is still not a matter of much concern as the leftover normal ovary tries to compensate for the lost ovarian tissue in surgery.
So let's hope for the best and its good that at least other ovary is normal.
