Brief Answer:
COX-2 selective drugs.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear XXXX
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are widely used to treat pain and inflammation in arthritis and other conditions.
They achieve their benefits by inhibiting certain inflammation-causing chemicals in the body called prostaglandins (PG). NSAIDs block enzymes in the body, called cyclooxygenase (or COX)
Traditional NSAIDs inhibit both COX-1 and COX-2.
Their therapeutic effect is achieved by inhibiting COX-2 enzyme.
The inhibition of COX-1 is responsible for all side effects of these drugs mostly for stomach irritation and gastric ulcers.

There is a new group of NSAIDs called COX-2-selective drugs (they don't inhibit COX-1 enzyme ) and they have fewer GI side-effects than older NSAIDs.
The most used drug of that class is Celecoxib (Celebrex).

I suggest to discuss with your treating doctor the pros and cons of using this medication in your particular situation, considering other medical conditions that you may have (or be at risk for).

There are some other options if you have Gastritis and need to take NSAIDs :
-The doctor may add a drug to help reduce stomach irritation including misoprostol (Cytotec), or a proton pump inhibitor such as lansoprazole (Prevacid). These drugs can considerably reduce your risk of an ulcer and internal bleeding.

Hope my answer has helped.
If you have any further question, please feel free to write me back,I will be happy to help.

Best Regards.
