Brief Answer:
There is definitely need of consulting psychiatrist/psychologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thanks for writing to us.I am fine.

I read your query thoroughly and tried to understand your concern.

No one can suffer from such thoughts until he or she had undergone such circumstances. For evaluation of such problem detail history and mental status examination to be done by a psychiatrist/psychologist in personal.

Probably history from your parents are also needed.

It is absolutely not a drama. It may be some psychological problem.

I also need to know following points.

You mentioned your 'mother's husband', Whats does it mean? Is he not your real father?

If you are suffering from such problem since 5 years, have you not consulted any doctor or sought for help any way?

Also describe your family background.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.

Brief Answer:
your imaginations are based on your childhood past

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for follow up and sorry for delayed response.

"no one can suffer from such thoughts until he or she had undergone such circumstances" meaning of this as follows. You sometime imagine that you are telling to someone you love about your past sexual suffering. This is possible only when you have suffered some abuse in childhood.Without such suffering you can not imagine such feelings.

For diagnosis of depression following symptoms should be present for more than 2 weeks continuously.

-Sad mood most of the time of the day

-Lack of interest in routine or other pleasurable activities

-Lack of sleep or appetite or more sleep and weight gain

- Feeling fatigue

- Hopelessness,worthlessness

- There is disturbance in routine social or occupational life

- Excessive guilt

- Death wishes or suicidal idea
For diagnosis detail history of symptoms, education, family background is needed. Mental status examination is detail psychological examination of person like physical examination. It helps in confirmation of diagnosis of a psychiatric problem.

From your narration it seems that you have lot of family issues, abuse and suffering. Currently your behavior and feeling to be inquired in detail to reach to some conclusion of your problem.

One possibility of masochism should be ruled out. In this person gets orgasm with painful feelings.

Other possibility is obsessive compulsive disorder. In wish rumination of same thoughts which are intrusive, irritating and bothering.
Co morbid depression can be there.

If I were your treating doctor I would like to go with psycho dynamic psychotherapy for treatment.

The best approach is to consult psychiatrist/psychologist who can understand your problem, give you sufficient time to diagnose your problem and counsel you.

Wish you early stability and good health.

Feel free to discuss further.

Take care XXXX

Brief Answer:
psychodynamic therapy is there to treat unresolved conflicts

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for writing back and sorry for delayed reply.

I am sorry to say that it is somewhat difficult for me to understand your English. But I am trying my best.

Ans -1
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is designed to help patients explore the full range of their emotions, including feelings they may not be aware of. By making the unconscious elements of their life a part of their present experience, psychodynamic therapy helps people understand how their behavior and mood are affected by unresolved issues and unconscious feelings.
In psychodynamic therapy, therapists help people review emotions, thoughts, early-life experiences, and beliefs to gain insight into their lives and their present-day problems and to evaluate the patterns they have developed over time. Recognizing recurring patterns helps people see the ways in which they avoid distress or develop defense mechanisms as a method of coping so that they can take steps to change those patterns.

Ans-2
By this question I understood that you sometime imagine that someone is talking about sexual abuse to you and you need to reply.
This is mostly due to your past experience and we can say they are obsessive thoughts or magical thinking likely.

Ans-3
I already mentioned that mental status examination is just only type of psychological examination which helps to check person's psychology and diagnose any psychiatric problem if it is there.

Ans -4
Masochism means the tendency to derive sexual gratification from one's own pain or humiliation. From your narration there is less likely possibility of masochism.Just for your information you can go through below mentioned link
http://www.minddisorders.com/Py-Z/Sexual-masochism.html

I again want to mention that your problem is not serious but proper diagnosis you need to consult psychologist/psychiatrist personally.

And yes one more thing if you know hindi/urdu you can write like this," Muje ye problem bhot salo se pareshan XXXXXXX rhi he, muje appki madad ki jarurat he" when you ask question next time on this site if you are not completely comfortable with English.

In future if you wish you can contact me directly on this site with this link: Http://bit.ly/drchintansolanki

Wish you good health.

Brief Answer:
not masochism

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

Thanks for writing back.

If you upset with your talk of abuse to someone it is something like compulsion. Normally person does not want to talk about the things which he/she does not like and is upsetting. But you frequently do/imagine the same. This suggests possibility of obsessive compulsive disorder.

About mental status examination (MSE) I already mentioned. It is just a type of examination which helps in diagnosis of psychiatric disorder if it is there.

You can see basics of MSE in this link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_status_examination

From available history it seems that you do not have masochism. I referred you a link in previous answer to check for yourself also.

Hope now you are clear about your all questions.

Brief Answer:
I got your point now, sorry for misunderstanding

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thanks for clarification.Sorry for not being able to understand your answer clearly.

Actually grammatically your arrangement of words are different an various meanings can be concluded from the same.I read your all questions two times to reach to conclusion.

Now I understood completely. You have suffered sexual abuse in childhood. You are feeling discomfort and pain by remembering those thoughts. As there is no one to whom who can share your upsetting thought and feelings, you imagine some friend to whom you love and in imagination you express those painful feelings to your friend. Actually by this way you try to calm yourself from those thoughts subconsciously.
Hope I have understood right now.

This thing suggests that you are suffering from your past and likely depression is there.
You need counseling sessions to resolve these past conflicts. You can express your abuse to understanding therapist and you will feel relax.Therapist will guide you in right direction and help to resolve conflicts, guilt and sadness arising from past experience. After that you will not undergo such imaginations.

Psychodynamic therapy will really help a lot.

If your depressive features as I mentioned previously are there in significant degree, anti depressant medicines can help also.

Hope this answers your concern.

thank you so much... iam sorry about my english language.. yes that what i mean maybe really i need to talk with a therapist... also not only sexual abuse...i got shocked in my age of 8 or 7(in two things i saw) when i saw my mother husband having sex with her and beating her with sadism and listening to her voice (not from my point of view i see him a bad man but true he has so many mental illness)... as i felt and thought "it was my first time to see woman treated like this...is it normal to treat my mother like this?" because before 6 in my childhood i used to be spoilt innocent and so feminine as lil XXXXXXX and my family even my uncles they treated me so fair...and i saw so fair treat from them to females as a civilian palastenies and as simple family wants their doughter to be doctor or intellegent in future... do you think is it normal to get shocked and has a bad feelings ?(because i always ask if iam normal to get shocked or no as i read books about frued castration complex and like this, isnt about the idea or the complex it self, its about they treat females as a hated human being and who should feel bad and anger from t the bad way they get treated and this bad way they deserve it ) because before 7 i didnt saw any think like this or even feel bad way i used to be innocent XXXXXXX who sees life so pink.

Brief Answer:
to beat someone is absolutely not right

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thanks for follow up.

Sorry for delayed response again.

In my opinion it is absolutely wrong to beat woman. Whatever had been done in past by your mother's husband is shocking. And your current symptoms of imagination likely have some relation with that. What he had done is offence or not is depend on country's law.
It is absolutely normal to be shocked after such incident. But long lasting impact of such incidents in your case is not normal.

Freuad's concept of castration complex is difficult to understand by normal person. And for me it is also difficult to explain here about that to you on this forum.

In my opinion every woman should be respected in the world.

You need to see therapist to come out of these imaginations and shocked feelings of past.

Hope you will see again your life pink.

Good luck.

i still see it pink not black but from time to time i remember. not always i remember its so moody.... but i want to understand how can we respect females and ask men to respect if(two things) --->>>1- from castration complex ; males hate females from early childhood ages(which is innocent ages couldnt know hate) because of their castration complex? 2- males think women as a castrated boys or a boy without a penis(all men not just bad or bedouin society) and this makes them feel hate /// but as i remember my childhood due to my strong memory---->> i remember that my family learned me their is difference between females and males in body before i ask about those differences(i didnt thought iam castrated or my beighboor male friend thought iam castrated because we always was taking shower with each other(i know shower with my neighboor is strange but we were like a family) he loves me from childhood untill now but for me i feel he is my brother

Brief Answer:
you have misunderstood castration complex

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

You have misunderstood the castration complex. It does not mean that all males hate females. By definition castration complex is, " an unconscious anxiety arising during psychosexual development, represented in males as a fear that the penis will be removed by the father in response to sexual interest in the mother, and in females as a compulsion to demonstrate that they have an adequate symbolic equivalent to the penis, whose absence is blamed on the mother(in Freudian theory).

It means boys fear that due to attachment with mother father may remove his penis. It is psychodynamic theory and in reality it is not like that. By that freaud just wants to convey psychosexual development.
It is view of freaud's theory that male sees female as castrated boy but there are lots of arguments against this part.
And again I want to clarify that it is practically impossible to clarify the deep meaning of castration anxiety here. It requires hours of discussion. With each explanation new question will arise in your mind.

It is not feasible that we can convince all males to respect women in specified manner. It is a social and cultural issue. But to understand woman, not to abuse her verbally and physically is respect.

Young Children do not see opposite sex genitalia in perspective of sex. For them it is difference between boy and girl. Your bathing with neighbor boy is completely normal. It is also normal that family teach children differentiation between boys and girls according to culture.

I request that please do not go into detail and think about freaud' theory on your own. It will create more doubts in your mind. Better to discuss with some psychologist or psychiatrist in personal who has deep knowledge in this regard.

Take care.
