Suggest Treatment For Numbness And Twitching On The Lower Lip

Question: My lower ip began twitching this morning and feeling a little numb. I took Benadryl thinking it was an allergy but it hasn't gone away but instead spread to my chin. It feels similar to when novacain is wearing off.

I am so sorry to hear about this numb feeling that you have reported. It is too early to tell what the cause of this is. In most of my patients, these symptoms are transient and never require any aggressive or specific treatment. They lost always resolve spontaneously with time. Based on my experience, I will say monitor only for now and expect spontaneous revolution. If this fails to happen or significant improvement with 2-3days, please report back to me for more evaluation.
