Question: I had something that seemed like a boil on the back of my neck. I kept trying to pop it thinking it was just a big pimple. Then i tried puncturing it to no avail. Now it really hurts and im wondering how i can take care of it so it can heal and not hurt at much.

Brief Answer:
hi nad welcome

Detailed Answer:
it could have been ateroma which is subcutaneous gland inflammation which is now infected as I see on this photo and you need antibiotics and probably it should be surgically extirpated. It is not advisable to manipulate, puncture or squezze such lesions by yourself since it may lead to infection. So I suggest to see doctor for further treatment. Wish you good health. Regards
