Suggest Treatment For Multiple Lipomas In The Body

default
Posted on Tue, 22 Nov 2016
Question: Same issue, third attempt for answer. Nodules, bb size and pea li size, beginning to show up all over my body. In fatty tissue under side of arm, now on leg running along legbone. Dr. Perigela suggested it might be neurobibibromas or multiple lipomas. I read from Mayo's webpage the symptons and conditions for both. They both are almost always with children or young adults. My symptoms do not match either of those however. Not in lympthnodes either. But now small fatty tumors are starting to form on body parts. Totally distingushable as nodules. Please let me know what kind of specialist I need to see about what is happening. And would prefer anyone with you that can venture a guess. TYVP

Brief Answer:
You should consult a General Surgeon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I prefer to remove a small nodule and send for Histopathological examination (Biopsy).Exact diagnosis will be confirmed.
I have seen many patients of older age group with Neurofibromas/Lipomas.Though they are common in younger age group, older people can also be affected.
If you are having different types of swellings, I prefer you to have FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology ).If it is inconclusive, you can go for Biopsy.
You should consult a General Surgeon , get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Please post a Pic if you do not have any objection.
Regards
