Brief Answer:
Give ORS. Continue breast feeding. Get blood tests done.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

The mouth ulcers could be due to vitamin B deficiency which could be caused due to lack of good bacteria of our intestines. Enterogermina contains such beneficial bacteria and should help in reducing the problem. Nutrolin B contains Vitamin B and would take care of the rest. The ulcers should subside in around 5-7 days.

Since you say, that the child is not feeding well, and has lost 0.5 kg in a very short period of time, it would be worthwhile to get a complete blood count done along with C-Reactive protein (CRP). The results would indicate whether the child has some sort of infection. It is only based on that I could comment when the child is going to get well and start taking feeds properly.

If the child does not feed well, dehydration can develop. You can avoid that by giving oral rehydration solution (ORS). You can prepare it by mixing a full XXXXXXX of ORS in a liter of water and give it sip by sip.

Hope that helps

Brief Answer:
Takes 7 days time to heal

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

In case your doctor has already made the diagnosis of hand, foot and mouth disease, you can wait. It is due to a viral infection and should heal up in a week's time.

Hope that helps
