Brief Answer:
Sore throat with gastritis

Detailed Answer:
hi welcome to healthcaremagic and thanks for putting up the query according to the Complaints you are telling your child is suffering from sore throat and gastric upset most probably is acute tonsillitis with gastritis
it would be better if you can visit a pediatrician as it is best to get examined and also check if the treating doctor shares my opinion.
If I was your treating physician i would advise, give him tablet cefixime 200 twice a day
tablet phenylepherine plus chlorpheneramine combination twice daily
capsule pantoprazole once daily
all medicines you can get on prescription
avoid any spicy foods..
Give paracetamol for fever
u are always welcome for any queries
thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
Acute tonsillitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the follow up query
sir fever is probably due to throat infection because it is high grade fever and not common in gastritis.. Throat infection can be due to streptococcus or some other bacterial infection..
A throat swab should be done to see the cause of infection
gastritis is common during throat infection leading to vomiting
As your son is 14 years, tylenol meltways is a paediatric medicine, be careful about the dosage..
The child needs antibiotic course to treat the infetion, once infection is trreated, fever will come down automatically..till than do cold sponging also..
Make him do salt water gargles..will have a soothing effect on throat..
Sir, please get the child examined by your routine doctor or give him the medicines i prescribed..
Thanks and regards
