Suggest Treatment For Macular Degeneration
Question: Hello my eye doctor informed me about the degeneration of my left eye last year but he said we could do surgery after we check it this year I will see him next month. I noticed now my left eye will enlarge the picture I'm looking at wher as my right eye it looks further away. It is anoying and now IT waters occasionally.

Possibly you are talking about cataract surgery with intraocular lens placement. The refractive capacity of the intraocular lens is similar to but not same as that of the normal eye. Moreover, the intraocular lens if of plus power and so it tends to magnify the image. It is due to the difference of the refractive power of both eyes that there is a difference in the depth perception. Unless you undergo comparable surgery in both eyes, the difference will remain and you would need to get used to it.
The occasional watering from eyes is unrelated and is not a cause for concern.

Macular degeneration I believe is what my eye doctor mentioned on my yearly visit something to do with my retina. I see my eye doctor yearly appointment is next month. This is first time I've noticed so much blurred vision and such rapid decline. Can my eyesight be restored without surgery?
