Suggest Treatment For Lumps On Knees
Question: I have a ping pong size lump on the upper/outer edge of my right knee cap and the same, but much smaller on the left knee. Dr (Rheumatologist) says it's not fluid and x-rays looked fine. The right knee is always more swollen by the end of the day, and less so in the morning. I've had no injuries to either knee. The lumps are painless, but I have had sporadic pain behind each knee cap for about the past 8-10 years. I'm 45/female/not extremely active/about 25lbs over weight. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, tested negative for rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, but positive for ANA. Any thoughts on what could be causing the swelling?

Well looking into your description, there is a high possibility that this could be cyst or bursitis. However it is extremely difficult that I will conclude this diagnosis without having to physically examine and evaluate this lump. I would highly advise you to get USG of your knee done to see what actually it is .
