Question: I injured my arm playing golf, while swinging. I have a lump to the right of my left elbow. I did this 2 weeks ago and thought I was healed and played golf this week with the same result. I couldn't finish. there seems to be a little bruising now. from what I read on Web Md it could be golfers elbow. What do you think?

Brief Answer:
It can be golfers elbow.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. If you got direct injury then it is likely to be soft tissue injury and it is likely to improve by rest and analgesic. X ray examination exclude bony injury. If pain occurred due to excess playing then it is likely to be golfers elbow. Treatment of it is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen. You should avoid playing for nearly 2 weeks. If even then not relieved then local triamcilone will be useful along with rest and analgesic.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
