Brief Answer:
Possible causes of lump inside ear

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

The possibilities of such a lump include sebaceous cyst, staphylococcal boil or a benign bony tumor. The lump should be examined by a GP. If its a small boil, it can be drained carefully after applying kaolin poultice for a couple of days. If its large then antibiotics can be prescribed. A sebaceous cyst which is small and painless can be left alone for now. Tympanometery and audiometry can be advised if its a benign bony tumor. A CT scan may also be advised in some individuals. If the lump is not a boil and the diagnosis is in doubt then an ENT specialist should be consulted.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
