Brief Answer:
Usually such lump is benign.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Can you please attach a photo of this lump?

Lump which can be concerning usually grows very fast, especially after injury. Otherwise, in 99% its benign lesion. If you smoke, most likely its a sebaceus cyst. This kind of lump is filled with whitish masses. It can become infected and cause pain. Thats the only reason it should be removed.

Lipoma is also possible. This lump also is benign.

If you want to have ti diagnosed property, consult general surgeon and have soft tissues ultrasound.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
