Question: I am having problems with my lower back and sharp pain down my left leg to foot for about a week. Today I am very stiff all over my body and have sweeping in both feet. All of my joints ache a great deal and I have no energy. Cannot bend down to pick up items and hips hurts so bad I can hardly bend to put on my shorts.

Brief Answer:
Rheumatological?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I’m Dr Chaithanya, an experienced Physician attending you
Thanks for asking a question at Healthcaremagic
I will be pleased to help you with the answer today.

Though symptoms can support sciatica/nerve pain to certain extent, I suspect Rheumatological cause for the pain.

Ulcerative colitis is a supporting evidence for Rheumatological cause of pain.

I suggest get RA factor, ANA, ESR tested if not done before. Consult a Rheumatologist before you undergo an MRI

Treatment depends on severity. May vary from NSAIDS, Steroids and Anti Rheumatic drugs

Hope this helps
