Suggest Treatment For Low Blood Pressure
Question: My blood pressure monitors (2) each respond "Lo" when I attempt to read my blood pressure.

Regarding your concern, I would explain that "Lo" on your blood pressure monitor indicates very low blood pressure.
Your symptoms (lightheadedness, sleepiness) are also compatible with low blood pressure.
I recommend going to the ER for a physical exam and some tests:
- a resting ECG
- a chest X ray study
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes, kidney and liver function tests, fasting glucose).
Low blood pressure in elderly patients may be really dangerous for possible falling and even stroke from low blood flow to the brain.
You need a close monitoring of blood pressure values, which can be done in the ER service. You may need intravenous fluids too in order to recover from this situation.
Meanwhile, I recommend lying down and take plenty of fluids to remain well hydrated.
