Brief Answer:
You may need to increase the dose of tablet.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thankyou for asking here.

Dear hypothyroidism treatment needs to be monitored for first few months. As hypothyroidism is a condition ,in which thyroxine hormone (T3) (important metabolism controlling hormone)is stopped to be made ,and needs to be replaced in form of tablet for life time.

People starting treatment has to be followed for first few months to make sure that right dose of tablet is been given. If despite starting tablet thyroxine (thyronorm) ,there is no changes in symptoms then possible cause could be that the dose is not helping ,reaching the right level of thyroxine in body.Thats why increasing dose until correct thyroxine level and improvement of hypothyroidism symptoms may help.

Also it is important that any food or supplement or other drug is not been taken with this tablet ,as it can decrease its absorption.Mostly taking tablet in the morning and not eating anything afterwards for atleast half an hour may help its good absorption.

Hopefully I answered your question please do not hesitate to ask further ;if I need to clarify more.
Regards,
Dr.Maheshwari
