Suggest Treatment For Lesion On Breast

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Nov 2015
Question: I have a lesion on my breast. It's approximately where the underwire of my bra ends under my arm. The bra is in excellent condition, with good soft fabric covering the wires. I've had no indication of any rubbing or I'll-fit. I first noticed last Sunday night as I was changing into my gown - it looked like a 1/2 x 1/4 " ready-to-burst pimple.

Possibly an infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to the site!

I am Dr V XXXXXXX
I have noted your details and anlysed the situation to arrive at the conclusion that most likely you are having a bacterial infection, possibly due to moisture and skin to skin friction in the said area.

For best response, following measures are suggested

1 Maintenance of best possible hygiene

2 Ventilating the area

3 Frequent saline compresses

4 Mupirocin ointment for use three times a day

5 Systemic antibiotic like Amoxy-Clav combination

6 Pain killers if needed

Such a problem needs about a week to clear up

To prevent future events of this type, please ensure that you do not have Diabetes and wear loose and airy garments with special attention being paid to the area at the time of bathing.

Best wishes from our team!
