Brief Answer:
Vision problems cause this type of headache at this age!

Thanks for consulting me at virtual clinic. Your trust in HCM means a lot to me as a Physician.
I have completely reviewed your health query, and can well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will give extend my expertise to solve the problems.

This type of headache is usually due to problems of vision. I suggest you to keep an eye on his activities as:
He should not spend more time on smartphones and Tv should be watched from a safe distance.
Should have proper diet and exercise. Healthy and balanced diet is very necessary to get rid of the headache as fluid and electrolyte imbalance plays major role in headaches.
He should take no added salts and sugar in diet.
Plenty of water to drink daily.

Give him Excedrin Extra Strength for headache.
One multivitamin with added zinc in it daily after breakfast.

Final suggestion to proceed further:
Make an appointment with an Ophthalmologist for proper evaluation of his eyes as this is very important.

Hope I answered all of your queries. Let me know if you have further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you with my expert opinion. He has already had an Optometrist check his vision and she stated he has no vision problems although he was given eye glasses and they do not lessen the headaches. He also has a strabismus in his left eye since he was seven years old. Do you think it may be a brain tumor?.

Brief Answer:
Not look like to be a brain tumor.Neurosurgeon consultation needed for that

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back and thanks for asking me a follow up query. Your visit to HCM is very much appreciated and I am here to help you with answering about the condition of your son.

He needs to wear the eyeglasses as recommended by the Optometrist. Strabismus may be one cause of the issue he has.

Nothing can be said regarding brain tumor as there is no motor or sensory deficit. There is no major indication of the deranged brain functioning that may be said to be caused by any space occupying lesion (the tumor). So, it is unlikely in this way if you ask about possibility of a brain tumor.

Then what best to do is to consult a Neurosurgeon who will go for proper radiologic evaluation of the skull for tumors and he will then treat your son accordingly.
