Question: My son is diagnosed with Non-verbal learning disorder in 2nd grade. He has trouble focusing and with spatial time. He is now 15 going into 9th grade. Still needs help with everything I mentioned. Would you know of any vitamin or natural Health product that could help him focus better and help with distractions. He still wets the bed at night. I was told that part of his brain on the right back hemisphere did not develop. It might of been from a fall hit on his head as a child. I would appreciate any help or advise you can give.

Brief Answer:
Social interventions may help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

Non verbal learning disabilities doesn't respond to medication.

Other intervention modalities include social skills groups, typing instruction software, use of a daily planner, use of recorded books.

These interventions aim to learn a child how to greet people, to record classroom lectures, to compensate for poor handwriting, to improve organizational skills etc.

Vitamins B group are indispensable for a healthy brain function and build up, so, use of supplements that contain such vitamins should help in a certain way, even if there is no clear clinical evidence about this.

About bed wetting at night use of imipramine for example helps in a part of cases.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
