Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain After Injury

Question: I had a children's chair at work fall on my left knee cap about two weeks ago. I still have been able to walk 20 miles a week and do three days a week manual labor at 72 years of age. I notice both knees crack at the joints from time to time. My left knee is a little sore from time to time but it functions ok. Do I have what is called a bone bruise? I have no swelling or redness just soreness from time to time.

I have not visited a doctor yet. Thinking about it .Never had any knee or hip surgeries.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
First of all I appreciate the amount of physical work you regularly do your age.Based on the symptoms and injury it looks to be soft tissue injury/bone bruise.Regarding cracking sound they are suggestive of osteoarthritis of knee.
My suggestion is hot water fomentation along with Ibuprofen will help in recovery.
Hope this helps.
Take care
