Question: Any suggestions for aching knee joints? Nothing seems to work. Arthrotek helped, but I can't take it because of a surgery I had.

Brief Answer:
exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hi
It seems that you are talking about osteoarthritis of knee which is most common cause of knee pain in your age group.
unfortunately there is no medicine which can alter disease process and cure the disease.
There are medicines which can use as pain killer, exercises and calcium and vitamin D are helpful in some extent.
I advice you to get an Xray to see the extent of damage in knee joint and if it is severe - you need to go for surgery.
Meanwhile take pain killer on SOS basis and see a physiotherapist for exercises.
Hope this help...
Take care...
