Brief Answer:
Bilateral renal calculi

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Bilateral Renal calculi means kidney stones in both kidneys. this shows that you have tendency of kidney stone formation. stones can cause problems like . urine infection, blockage of urine passage, blood in urine, pain in abdomen. if left untreated can lead to kidney failure. treatment will depend on the size and position of the stone.

hydronephrosis means that the stones are blocking the urine passage and causing back pressure and damaging the kidney. it signifys that we should urgently address the problem.

best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Small stones don't cause immediate danger

Detailed Answer:
Hi, 2-3 mm calculi are pretty small and they generally do not cause any problems. stones less than 5 mm pass out by themselves. you have to differentiate it from nephrocalcinosis. and we have to find out why these stones are forming.

for this you have to meet in opd with a Nephrologist as it needs detailed interview and some tests.

best wishes

Hi, medicines will decrease occurance of stones further . it may be worthwhile to repeat an ultrasound KUB and blood tests after a month. don't worry , it is not something life threatening, but you should have regular follow-up with your Doctor.

Hi,

Detailed Answer:
hi,

nothing more can be inferred from the reports provided.

tests which we do in such patients include kidney function tests, parathyroid hormone levels, 24 hrs urinary protein, urinary calcium, phosphorus uric acid, oxalate citrate and an ABG. these may contribute to a cause of these stones. they can be done in guidance of your doctor.
