Suggest Treatment For Itchy Penis

Question: Base shaft of penis extremely itchy. Skin raised a little. After scratching area. Scrotum has same feeling. No discharge of penis. Using monistat 1 cream, certerizine capsules but still itchy after two days of meds. Thinking of using diflucin too. Am I on the right track?

Please, kindly provide an image for review. The most common causes of itches in the genital are superficial fungal infections. Treatment is usually done using antifungals creams like miconazole/clotrimazole etc.

Can't get image but skin doesn't have visible bumps, but is a little red. I am XXXXXXX XXXXXXX so redness not easy to see. Scrotum has the same issue.

Hi,

Because of difficulties getting an image for review, I suggest you apply an anti fungal cream like miconazole 2%. This can be gotten without prescription. Apply it twice daily. If there is no improvement, then you would need to go in for consultation and examination. I will also recommend that you place extra emphasis on your personal hygiene as well.
