default
Posted on Sat, 12 Aug 2017
Question: Hi,
I am facing itching on my feet and palm since 3 weeks. Doctor suggested me to use "Fexo fenadine - 180 mg) tablet twice a day. However, I did not get the same tablet but I used "Allegra" twice a day for 2 weeks. When I was using this medicine there was no itching. However, once I stopped the medicine, it started itching again. Currently, I have severe itching problem on my feet and at times on palms. Please suggest me.
I am applying CLOBETA GM CREAM on the areas where it is itching.

Moreover is itching associated with any bumps or rash?
Do you have to history of dry skin, eczema, allergic rhinitis or asthma?
What is the duration of itching?
Have you used or applied anything new on the palms and soles?
Kindly revert with the answers and pictures.

Area where it is itching it is just plane I don't see any rashes. Duration of the itching is 1min to 6mins. In a day, it itches number of times including mid nights and early mornings.

Brief Answer:
Continue allegra, clobetasol propionate cream

Detailed Answer:
I have gone through your complaints and would recommend you continue with tablet allegra 180 mg twice daily for another 2 weeks and once the itching improves taper it to once daily and then stop.
Also apply plain clobetasol propionate cream ( tenovate ) on the itchy areas twice daily along with frequent and liberal application of a moisturising cream containing white soft paraffin 2-3 times in a day.
Besides this keep your hands and feet moisturised, avoid soaps and detergents, wear gloves while washing clothes and utensils.
